​A Healthy Study Snack Idea!

Spiced Kale Chips

Looking for a quick, easy and healthy study snack idea? Look no further!

Kale chips are a fantastic, healthy alternative for normal potato chips. They are extremely easy to make and even more delicious! Below is my simple recipe to make a yummy, healthy snack for you to have throughout the day!


Ingredients

-1 bunch of Kale (stalks removed)

-1 teaspoon of salt

-½ tablespoon of olive oil

-1 teaspoon of paprika

-½ teaspoon cumin seeds

-1 pinch cayenne pepper


Method:

1.Preheat the oven to approximately 175 degrees celcius

2.Tear the kale into large pieces (they will shrivel in the oven so you don’t want to make them too small beforehand) and wash them with water. Then, dry them thoroughly with a paper towel and place in a large bowl.

3.In the bowl, drizzle over the olive oil and make sure that all of the leaves are evenly coated (you may want to use your hands for this)

4.Once the kale is sufficiently covered, it’s time to add your spices! Above I have added my favourite combination, however you can experiment with spices to see what you like best. Sometimes I like to have plain kale chips with only a little bit of salt.

5.Again, rub in all of the spices so they are evenly spread.

6.Place the kale on a baking tray lined with baking paper and make sure that you spread out the kale, otherwise the chips may become soggy.

7.Cook in the oven for approximately 15 minutes or until they are crispy!


Voila! Delicious and nutritious kale chips!
